Layers of clothing is important to keep warmEQUIPMENT and WINTER WEAR - Equipment for the , 6 and 13 day adventure tours is included in the package price. We are able to securely store any items you wish to bring with you, or rent during your stay.

You may wish to wait until you arrive before purchasing you winter clothing. We are always happy to advise, there are clothing stores locally who can provide suitable winter wear.

"Remember sun cream! Probably best to take lots of thin layers of clothing, and check up about suitable footwear in advance (although the guides and our host both had footwear we were able to borrow)." D Harrison

Winter activities can get you sweating and keep you pretty warm, even in colder temperatures, although in very cold temperatures it is more difficult to stay warm. With those two points in mind it is important to remember to dress appropriately with layers. This is vital, if you get too sweaty, you will eventually get very cold so you will need to remove and add layers as appropriate. <<view more info>>

AIR TRAVEL - Many airlines offer a direct flight to Calgary International Airport, a 90 minute drive to Canmore. It is possible to get some good deals on flights if you shop around and book in advance. Check out the following airlines for some good deals. www.canadian-affair.com, www.westjet.com.  

CAR RENTAL - Although not necessary to have a car, it is preferable when staying in Canmore. You can rent cars from Calgary International Airport and locally in Canmore, but in many cases you can get a better deal by pre-booking before departure.
